Eric wants to know why Stephanie didn't attend the Fashion  Show. 
Ridge introduces Caroline to his parents and announces his engagement.

Steph tells Thorne the news about Ridge’s wedding plans with Caroline; both wonder about the reason for this quick decision

Talk about wedding arrangements; Bill doesn’t seem to be too pleased with Caroline’s decision

Talk about calling Felicia; Steph tries to make Eric jealous by telling him that Bill is very attractive – no reaction; both noticed Bill being reserved about this wedding; reminiscing their own wedding – and the question what went wrong with their marriage; Eric asks about the possibility of a “re-start”, Steph doubts that she can give him everything he longs for….

First phone - call about some wedding preparations; then mysterious call – Steph tells the person “I asked you never ever to call here” (Dr. Todd Powell ?)

April   1987

 Description

Steph thinks Eric has an affair with Margo, Eric tells her “jealousy doesn’t suit you”; Steph tells him she called the girls – couldn’t reach Felicia, Kristen refuses to come; Eric blames Steph

First phone-call with the florist, then talk about Caroline’s wedding-dress-fitting; Eric tells Steph that Caroline called Kristen and asked her to be her bridesmaid; another argument about Steph’s problems with Kristen, Eric again blames only Steph and tells her to avoid any conflict as long as Kristen stays around; finally he expresses the wish that maybe the Ridge-Caroline-wedding could be a re-start for their relationship

Steph tells Ridge about her meeting with Bill later on; Ridge is in bad mood (the previous night he got caught in bed with another woman); Steph and Bill discuss the wedding-arrangements, Bill is very pleased with everything and suggests a party tonight at his place; finally he wants to accept Ridge (he will learn about the photos soon )

Kristen arrives, Steph an she talk about Caroline; Steph tries to make amends, but Kristen accuses her of not being serious and soon they are in a heated discussion about their troublesome relationship and blame each other; but finally Steph tells her she wants to make a kind of re-start with her, but Kristen tells her she’s not interested ...

Stephanie is looking over a rack of designs, trying to find something to wear to Ridge's wedding ... Stephanie and Kristen's little chat is interrupted by Eric ... after Kristen leaves, Eric has a few questions for Stephanie that lead to some interesting comments from both of them ... not sure if this is the right spot for this clip ...

Departure for the party, party at Bill’s place; Steph notices that obviously Bill and Margo already knew each other, although pretending otherwise – of course Eric tells her she’s wrong about that ...

Family breakfast on wedding day; Steph with Ridge and Thorne shortly before the ceremony

Steph asks Eric who invited Margo for the wedding, they argue / Steph – Thorne: short talk about the upcoming wedding  / Finally Caroline coming down the stairs in her wedding dress (Bill has just shown her the pic with Ridge in bed with another woman, but Caroline decided to go through with the wedding) but collapsing when reaching the living-room

Ridge decides to rush the unconscious Caroline to the hospital; Steph tries to handle the situation and to calm down everybody, but Kristen tells her not to be too optimistic about having a wedding soon; Kristen tells her she’ll go to the hospital herself, Steph asks why she refuses to spend some time with her mother but finally sends her away in a kind of argument

Kristen asks Eric about his marriage; he tells her “I can’t deny that my marriage isn’t the way I’d like it to be, but at least I do have my work”; Kristen asks him about other women, but he tells her there was only one, in college before he got married; Steph comes downstairs and joins them, she asks Kristen to stay;  Ridge and Thorne return from hospital, Steph tells them not to put any pressure on Caroline

They still hope for the wedding to take place soon; Steph thinking “whether or not to tell them about her ‘secret’, before they will have children” (about Angela’s birth defect?) Then Eric tells Steph she has to make Kristen stay around, Thorne and Kristen return home, but without any news about Caroline or the wedding; Ridge comes home and calls the wedding off, without saying why ...

Steph and Eric still wonder about the reasons for the cancelled wedding; Kristen calls to book a flight to NY; Steph asks her to stay, but Kristen accuses her of only doing this to please Eric; Steph tries to convince her of this being her own free will, but Kristen refuses to believe; finally Kristen tells Steph that it’s only Steph’s fault that it’s impossible for her to live with her beloved daddy

May   1987

 Description

Steph talks with Ridge about the reason for his messing around with this other woman, Ridge tells her that he really loves Caroline, although in the first place he had only asked her to marry him to get back at Bill Spencer; he also tells Steph that Bill is responsible for the pics; Ridge is devastated because he still doesn’t know where to find Caroline, he also tells Steph that Kristen will stay around a little longer

(Scene is cut in mid-sentence) Steph interrupts a fitting with a model and Eric’s assistant Monique (?) – she tells him Monique would be a perfect replacement for Margo, but he tells her he refuses to replace Margo at all; Steph then tells Eric that Ridge suspects Kristen to know where Caroline is, but Eric immediately defends her and tells Steph, even if this is true she will have her reasons..

Kristen therefore tells Steph and Eric that she’ll go back to NY today; Steph follows her to her room and convinces her to stay around and give their relationship another chance; When Steph comes downstairs to tell Eric the good news he – before listening to her – blames her, telling her “I hope you know that it’s only your fault that Kristen will leave”

May 5, 1987

First love scene, part 2; Steph leaves the bed when Eric starts dreaming about a future in the company with him and Kristen together; she tells him that Kristen is the true love of his life, starts talking about another “love of his life”, his college sweetheart; she asks him if he ever has thought about how their lives had been, if she hadn’t become pregnant and he had to marry her; and he tells her that indeed he had thought about.

Bills calls Steph and invites her for tonight; she tells him she’ll be there after she’s seen Eric in his office; When she arrives at Forrester Eric tells her that Thorne is MIA, although he has a business appointment; and in passing he also tells her that for the other night he has invited some business-partners – “10 – 15” – for dinner at their house; Steph isn’t too pleased about but he tells her to order the party-service anyway;

Steph places her orders at a new party-service, since the usual one has troubles after a fire; Then Steph meets with Bill and he asks for her help – Caro has walked out and even refuses to tell him where she lives or keep in contact with him at all; first Steph tells him off and accuses him of having caused all these problems by his stupid behaviour, but after some heated argument she finally realises that he really suffers

Eric tells her that there might be some more guest around and tells her to ask Margo for the correct number – Steph of course isn’t too pleased about this request; then Steph again tries to persuade Eric to invite them all into a restaurant instead having them in their house – of course useless try; he also doesn’t care about her doubts about this new party-service

Last preparations before the first guests will arrive; Steph meets Beth Logan who is “commanding the party-service-troops” Steph has a quick encounter with Margo, telling her that she is well aware about Margo throwing herself at Eric

Steph introduces Margo as her husband’s secretary to some of the guests; Eric tells the story of his family – his parents being poor, having only a little shop, but being very ambitious in sewing; they wanted him to attend college, where he met Steph; some guest asks if it was love at first sight for him, Steph saves him by joking that she would have expected being asked if he has been her only admirer ...

Eric says that for him this was a wonderful and successful evening, but Steph tells him that she was bored and isn’t pleased with the idea of inviting all these people into her home; now he realises what she really is upset about!; Steph says “we don’t share a lot, only the bedroom”; he thinks that they have grown closer the past days, but she reminds him that this has much more to do with Kristen staying in LA than with her;

Steph talks with Thorne, Thorne tells her that Bill said he prefers Thorne as son-in-law, but Steph asks Thorne to back-off; Steph watches Eric with Margo; while Eric is busy with a phone-call she sends Margo away; then she asks Eric to be honest about his relationship with Margo – either he is involved with her or he plays dumb and dumber, not realising that Margo has a crush on him; Eric tells her off in a not very nice manner

They’re joking about Thorne’s mysterious dates with an unknown woman, later on they talk about Ridge and Caroline; Ridge still hopes for reconciliation, Thorne roots for Caroline’s wish of being independent; Later, at the pool: Steph tells Thorne that she knows that the unknown woman he’s dating is Caroline and asks him to back-off, but he refuses.

Eric can’t get over Margot’s confession that she loves him. Steph is suspicious and tells Eric not to underestimate Margot’s crush on him ... Kristen interrupts them and starts praising Margot and how helpful she is to her when starting to work at Forrester ... Steph puts Margot’s office on speaker and overhears a talk between Eric and Margot about her confession of love the other day.

Steph still overhears Margo talk about her love for Eric and offers to resign from Forrester, which Eric seems to accept.  Thorne tells her to look on the bright side of this – the proof that Eric still loves her. When Eric enters and Steph wants to talk with him about some parties they have to organize for several occasions she is in for a surprise, when he insists on hiring the same party-service they had the last time.

Steph asks Ridge about Caroline - he tells her that she needs distance. Steph asks about Margot but Ridge tells her he doesn’t care for her any longer. Steph tells Ridge he should take his relationship to Caroline more seriously and invite her to the party ... While Ridge takes a swim, Thorne argues with Steph about why she told Ridge to go after Caroline.  She figures out that Thorne is dating Caroline and isn’t happy ...

June   1987

 Description

Eric is happy that Kristen is working in the company but Steph is worried about Kristen’s lack of a love-life ... Steph has a talk with Kristen. Kristen seems more interested in her work ... Margo stops by and tells Steph that she has an appointment with Eric, but Steph answers her she knows it’s not true. Steph gloats that she knows about Margo quitting - Margo tells her that she will stay at Forrester ...

 Description

Episode # 113 to 122
In the following episodes, Steph suspects Eric of having an affair and follows him to the Logan house (Eric has learned from Thorne that Caroline has been raped and that she is staying with the Logans); after she tells Ridge about it, Ridge asks his father why he went there (scene not included); Eric refuses to answer him but calls Steph and finally tells her when they meet about Caroline being raped and her whereabouts; later on Steph pays Caro a visit and afterwards tells Thorne about it; Thorne asks her to respect Caro's wish not to tell Ridge about the rape and her stay with the Logans; the next day the court trial for the rapist is scheduled to being and Steph asks Eric to tell Ridge the truth – she wants to prevent Ridge from learning about Caro's rape from the press.

Clip Episode 53 

Eric demands an explanation from Stephanie regarding her behaviour towards Margo the evening before. He confronts her about her overhearing of Margo’s love declaration to him in the office and shocks her with the news that he didn’t fire Margo because he thinks it’s not necessary. Eric tells Stephanie again that he has no affair with Margo and doesn’t intend to start one but she calls him naïve and tells him that Margo won’t give up…

Clip Episode 55 

Eric tells Stephanie that her accusations from their last conversations hit him hard but she tells him she just made an observation and thinks that Margo aims to get pregnant from Eric. It’s Margo’s intention to possess Eric and so she won’t give up until she has him. Eric refuses to respond and wants to leave. Stephanie asks if he wants a divorce what he denies. He wants no divorce and he has no affair with Margo. He returns Stephanie’s question and wants to know if she wants a divorce. She tells him that they’ve only stayed together because of their children. And after all a child was the reason they got married at all. She reminds him of his girl friend in college and asks if he ever really loved her (Stephanie). He says yes and she wants to know why she never felt his love. He says he can’t answer that but says he married her. She tells him frankly that she thinks that he would be married to that other woman if she hadn’t been pregnant with his child…   

Clips Episode 56 

Ridge comes home in a bad mood. Stephanie informs him about the bad stage of her marriage and Ridge guesses it has something to do with Margo. Stephanie admits she overheard Margo’s love declaration to Eric. Ridge doesn’t seem surprised and Stephanie asks him if he knows more. He only tells her that Margo is a woman who expects a lot for what she has to give… Stephanie asks what is wrong with him but gets no real answer and senses that Ridge knows about Thorne and Caroline’s relationship. She pays Thorne a visit and confronts him. She tells him to stop pursuing Caroline what Thorne refuses. After all Ridge was the one who cheated on Caroline and he knows from her that she won’t marry Ridge. A journalist arrives and Stephanie leaves…  

Clip Episode 59  

Thorne looks at the picture of Ridge and Alexandra in bed. Stephanie sees him and he hides the picture from her. Ridge arrives and Stephanie demands from her son’s to get along better especially because of the party the next evening. Thorne announces he would bring his new lady friend. Stephanie is happy to hear that and admits she is curious about her. Thorne leaves. Ridge is glad to hear about his brother’s new girl friend and hopes that Thorne will stop to bother him and Caroline. Stephanie thinks that the picture showed Thorne’s new flame. Ridge tells Stephanie he and Caroline will marry soon and that she just needs time to get over his cheating. He asks about the marriage of his parents and Stephanie answers that once Margo has left everything will be fine between them.  Stephanie tells Eric, who isn’t aware of the animosity between the brothers, that they seem to get along much better. She asks him what he thinks about their own relationship and tells him that they’re so polite with each other that it hurts. She suggests a serious conversation between them after the party and he agrees. After all those years of apathy 24 hours more can’t hurt…  

Clip Episode 61 (Barf warning)  

Stephanie interrupts Eric in his thoughts about his meeting with Beth. He remembers about their time together at college. Eric hardly listens to Stephanie as she asks him if he liked the food and the party and she asks him if he thinks about their marriage. Kristen arrives and tells her parents to come inside the house again. Stic continue to talk about their sons and Kristen. Stephanie thinks that with a father like Eric a man has no chance to impress their daughter. Later Stephanie tries to arrange a tennis date for Kristen with the son of a friend but Kristen is reluctant. Thorne talks to Alex over the phone who doesn't appear at the party. Stephanie notices that Eric stares at Beth…

Clip Episode 62

Stephanie tells an absent-minded Eric she is happy that Caroline was at the party. She thinks that maybe after all Ridge and Caroline will end up married. She asks Eric what is wrong with him and that everyone noticed that his thoughts were occupied with something else the whole evening. He refuses to explain anything and when Stephanie offers her help he backs off. Stephanie feels cut out and Eric tells her he’s sorry. Before she leaves Stephanie thinks they should hire the caterers again because they did a good job… 

Clip Episode 69

Stephanie, in a good mood, pays Eric a visit to invite him for lunch. Eric appreciates her idea but tells her he has another appointment (which is Beth Logan) but doesn’t tell her what it is. She suggests to go with him because she thinks its important to spend more time with him in order to make their marriage work again but he refuses and tells her that they can do some other day. She asks him if their marriage is meaningless for him and he answers that their marriage is important to him. She tells him that right now she can’t feel that. He responds that she won’t understand him but he cryptically explains that it isn’t the right time for her to insist on pushing him into something regarding there marriage… she admits she can’t understand him and tells him to go to his lunch date or whatever it is. It seems more important to him than she is.

 Ridge sees Stephanie waiting in his office and sees her pensive mood. “His old mother” invites him for lunch but he responds that his mother isn’t old and that he already has another  appointment for lunch. She remarks that she has no luck with her men today and she tells him Eric refused to out with her as well. He suggests to find out where Eric is but she tells him even his secretary doesn’t know. Ridge sees that Eric’s behaviour bothers Stephanie and she sadly admits that she doesn’t know what to do. She has tried anything to save her marriage. She asks Ridge if his father ever told him about his feelings or non-feelings but Ridge says no. He asks if Margo is behind it but Stephanie knows she isn’t. Ridge thinks another woman could be the reason but Stephanie doesn’t know who. Ridge guesses too much work but Stephanie denies that as well. Eric is cutting her out and she didn’t even understand what he told some time ago before he left for his appointment. Ridge advises Stephanie to fight and tells how young and beautiful she is. She should show him how much she wants Eric and that is something that can’t wrong. Stephanie tells her son that he’s angel and asks herself where Eric is right now…

Note: I spare you the epi 70 from June – no Steph in it, but Eric meeting with Beth Logan, among other things telling her the reason why he suddenly vanished back then – obviously she hadn’t known that Steph had become pregnant with Eric’s child -, and confessing that neither before nor after her he had loved a woman the way he had loved her; she always had and will have a special place in his heart no other woman ever can reach.

1987 july, epi 73

Eric tells Steph that they have to talk with each other and Steph suggests to start with, telling him about her thoughts and her feelings. She tells him she knows he wants a divorce or at least a separation, just leading to a divorce later on. And he thinks to already know her reaction, not showing her feelings about, only pride or contempt but no pain and hurt. But she tells him this time she won’t hide behind her pride since she only feels pain and fear, although she’s aware that it’s unusual for him to see this emotional side of her. But she can’t help acting that way since she still feels the same love for him like ages ago, and she’s afraid that this love isn’t mutual any longer. But nevertheless she pleads him for another chance to rediscover their feelings for each other again, for him not to leave her. He asks for some days to think this over. (note: jerk, moron, coward, ass***)

1987 july, epi 76

The next morning – Steph reminds him of their talk last night, again confirming that she meant everything the way she told him, and again asks him about his opinion, but he’s still evasive. She again tells him that from now on she will show her feelings and no longer hide them behind a mask, but he doubts that the past can be revived again. Then a desperate Steph asks Eric to make love to her but he again tells her he needs some more time. This makes Steph asking who the other woman is…

Later on Steph overhears a conversation of her children – Kristen telling Steph that she didn’t expect their marriage lasting even that long and that Steph never understood Eric the way he deserved to be.

Steph is at the caterer’s shop and wants to talk to Beth Logan (not knowing that she is „the other woman“) …

1987 july, epi 77

Beth is startled when Steph tells her she’d like to talk to her about her husband, but is visibly relieved when Steph tells her she’d like her to arrange a surprising birthday party for Eric since the other parties she’s arranged pleased her and the two of them seem to have a similar taste. Steph tells Beth how important this party is for her and her marriage and Beth tells her she obviously loves her husband very much.

Later on Steph tells Ridge that the next afternoon she’d need his office to prepare the party for Eric there. She’s very excited but Ridge tells her not to build castles in the air and set her hopes too high that Eric will be that pleased. Steph tells him that the feeling of maybe losing him makes her feeling like dying. Ridge tells her to count on his support, but Steph laments that Kristen and Thorne would be relieved to see the marriage fail.

1987 july, epi 78

Steph is waiting in Thorne’s office when Kristen bumps in. When Thorne arrives Steph tells them that she’s aware that they’d be happy if their parents' marriage would crack, and Kristen again tells her that she can’t understand how Eric could remain with Steph that long. Thorne adds that he thinks Steph’s problem is that she excludes everybody except Ridge from her life and her feelings, that she even keeps Eric on arm’s length. They both blame Steph and her lust for power for being solely responsible for feeling the way they do towards her.

Beth Logan calls telling Steph that everything is ready for tomorrow’s party, just it won’t be her to be present but another caterer.

Steph tells Ridge how insecure she feels, whether or not it’s right to give the party at all. Meanwhile Eric is reminiscing the talk he had had with Steph last night and her plea of reviving their feelings for each other. When Steph is about to leave FC Eric stops her, telling her that he’s about to go home and asks her to come with him.

Note: I spared you the phone call between Eric and Beth – after Steph had ordered the party service and Beth had realised the deep love Steph feels for Eric she has refused to meet him again; just now, since „the other woman“ no longer seemed available to Eric, he started thinking about Steph and solving his marital problems again

1987 july, epi 81

The next morning – when Steph comes down for breakfast she tells Eric that it was a strange feeling missing him when waking up. But he assures her that he’d never leave her that way and asks her for a talk. He wants to erase everything that happened the past few weeks but tells her not to asks him any questions. But he wants to work on their marriage and stay together. They both agree on giving their marriage another chance. Then he asks her to cancel the „surprise party“, which Steph agrees on since Beth Logan can’t arrange it (note: Eric’s facial expression – priceless). Steph suggests to do the cooking all by herself since maybe the children would like a family-celebration as well. She tells him that Ridge had helped her a lot the past weeks and Eric agrees that usually obnoxious Ridge sometimes really can be a sensitive man. Before Eric leaves for the office Steph tells him how good it feels to have him back again.

When the children come down for breakfast Steph tells them that she and Eric have overcome their crises and want to try a restart. Ridge and even Thorne can understand their wish but Kristen still doubts whether or not this is the right decision. Steph tells Kristen and Thorne how much it had hurt her knowing that her children want her marriage to crack. But she also wants to work on her relationship with her children and asks them for a restart as well. (note: the past episodes Kristen had encouraged Margo to go after her father again – and as soon as she arrives FC she and Margo will mourn about this „lost opportunity“)

Steph pays Caroline a visit at her new job, and first of all Caroline congratulates Steph on her reunion with Eric. Steph tells her that except for Kristen everybody seems to be happy about it and that she had thought about Kristen needing a life of her own. Steph suggests that Kristen needs a friend and asks Caroline for help to play matchmaker, since most of all Kristen never can learn Steph’s involvement in this plan.

1987 july, epi 82

Caroline pays Steph a visit, needing someone to talk to – she and Ridge do have troubles. Since Caroline seems reluctant to start with telling they first change the subject – and Caro tells Steph that maybe her boss would be the perfect match for Kristen. They plan a tennis double for Caro, Kristen, Ridge and Caro’s boss.

Finally they start talking about Caro’s problem with Ridge. (Note: the last part of this epi is missing, but I think Caro tells Steph that Ridge puts some pressure on her about becoming intimate before being married).

1987 july, epi 83

Caroline is calling Steph telling her that her boss has agreed to the tennis double. When Ridge comes downstairs Steph tells Ridge about her plan but Ridge isn’t too happy about Steph playing matchmaker. He’s in a bad mood, feeling tired about Caroline playing hard to get and tells Steph he won’t be around tonight.

When Caro arrives and asks Steph for Ridge she has to tell him that Ridge has left the mansion being rather angry and not being able to cope with celibacy.

1987 july, epi 85

Eric tells Steph that Kristen has designed a dress Eric plans to present in his spring collection. Steph thinks that maybe Margo had a hand in helping Kristen to design the dress, but she also expresses her happiness about Kristen working in the fashion industry since she knows that Eric is very happy about. Then Steph tells Eric that she worries about Kristen only being interested in her work and not in social contacts, but Eric tells her not to play matchmaker since this only infuriates Kristen.

Then they change the subject to Ridge and Caro and their problem about different expectations. Eric reminds Steph that maybe Caro’s wish for premarital celibacy is better for both of them since that way Ridge won’t be confronted with the problem of premarital pregnancy – a remark that visibly hurts Steph since that had been the reason for Steph and Eric to marry in the first place. Steph tells him that she doubts Ridge could be forced into a marriage by a baby. Eric can’t understand Ridge not accepting Caro’s wish, but Steph reminds him that it’s nature of relationships to agree to compromises and that Caro’s behaviour might have consequences.

1987 july, epi 86

Steph joins Ridge by the pool after she had heard voices. First she thinks Ridge was with Caro, but Ridge refuses a direct answer. Ridge tells her he was with another woman without giving her name and this woman has made a complete fool of him – first agreeing on skinny-dipping in the pool, but finally leaving him all naked while remaining fully dressed, just to prove a point, although she seemed to agree on everything in the first place. Steph is highly amused until she learns that the other woman was Brooke, Caro’s best friend. When Steph worries what Caro might learn about Ridge tells her that he doubts that Brooke will tell her – not noticing that Thorne has overheard their conversation.

Episode 92:

Ridge gives Steph a letter he had received from Caroline wherein she tells him that despite the fact that the time with him was the happiest in her life they have to part, since she needs more time for herself and can’t give him what he expects from her right now.

Ridge decides to pay Caroline a visit, but Steph asks him whether he is willing to except a relationship on Caro’s conditions. Ridge doesn’t answer this question but tells Steph that he can’t lose her. Ridge laments that he always wanted to marry her and that Bill Spencer’s to blame for the cracked up wedding, but Steph argues with him that it was his infidelity that caused the situation.

Finally they talk about Caro’s wish to remain a virgin until they get married and Ridge’s problems to live in celibacy. Steph tries to persuade Ridge that it’s worth waiting since it’s a special gift being the first for her.

Episode 95:

Ridge is dressed to spend an evening painting the town and Steph asks whether he has a date with Caro. Since he doesn’t confirm Steph talks to Ridge about the dangers of unprotected sleeping around, the illnesses one can catch and the danger this can cause for him and others. Finally Ridge admits laughingly that now Steph finally has managed to ruin his plans when they’re interrupted by a call – it’s Caro’s boss who wants to date Kristen again. Steph promises him that Kristen will call back as soon as she comes home and later on asks Ridge to write Mr. Garner’s phone number again since Kristen immediately would back off if she recognized Steph’s handwriting.

Episode 97:

Since both Steph and Ridge can’t sleep they again start talking about Caro’s letter. Ridge is fed up with Caro’s delay tactics and Steph again tells him to remain patient since it takes time for her to trust him again. At last Ridge agrees that he will agree to her wish to leave her alone, at least for the moment.

Episode 99:

Steph has just learned that Thorne plans to leave the company. They both don’t understand the reasons for his wish and they still don’t know who made this job offer to Thorne. Steph assumes that Thorne’s rivalry with Ridge could be the reason for Thorne’s plans and Eric is clueless as usual and asks Steph to probably find out Thorne’s reasons for leaving.

When Steph enters Thorne’s office she interrupts a talk between Thorne and Bill Spencer (Thorne already knows about Caro’s rape but doesn’t tell Bill, who worries about Caro not calling back). Thorne tells her that it was only about a dinner invitation he got from Bill Spencer, but Steph is suspicious. She then tries to question Thorne’s motives but he remains evasive and finally leaves for a conference. After Thorne has left the office Steph thinks aloud about the possibility of Bill Spencer being the one to hire Thorne.

Episode 100:

Steph once again interrupts a talk between Margo and Eric, and when she asks why Margo always looks guilty when being interrupted by her, Eric quips “you should know by now that she is in love with me”. Then Steph tells Eric about her suspicion regarding Bill Spencer hiring Thorne. When Eric storms out of the office to talk to Thorne he almost bumps into Kristen, who immediately accuses Steph of causing troubles with Eric.

Kristen hands a magazine with Ridge on the cover and Steph confronts Ridge about the latest gossip of him being available again. Steph warns Ridge that he’s pushing Caro into Thorne’s direction, but Ridge can’t imagine her being interested in Thorne. He also doesn’t take her advice not to underestimate Bill Spencer seriously.

Later Steph pays Bill Spencer an unannounced visit and is surprised to find Margo there and obviously being Bill’s mistress.  Steph asks Bill about his job offer to Thorne and Bill asks Margo to leave before he answers her question. Steph tells him not to destroy her family by making brother fighting brother. Bill shows her the tabloid and tells her that’s reason enough for trying to protect Caro from Ridge. Before Steph leaves she tells him that fighting against her family is fighting against her – and she’s not used to losing a fight.

Episode 103:

Steph is still enraged when returning from her talk with Spencer to Eric. She tells him he confessed his plans with Thorne and his antipathy against Ridge. She tells him that way Spencer tries to hook up Caro with Thorne to get rid of Ridge. Steph also tells Eric that Margo is involved with Spencer.

Steph and Eric decide to talk with Thorne about Spencer’s offer but Thorne isn’t willing to talk about his motives for being interested and his feelings for Caroline (Eric: “Believe me, I do know that kind of love. ...But a love that estranges you from your family never ever can be lived on. Because regardless how wonderful and strong this love is you’ll always have the feeling of losing something very important.”) Finally Eric pleads with him not to sacrifice his family for Spencer’s schemes. Right at this moment they’re interrupted by Bill Spencer who demands to know from Thorne where Caro is.

Episode 104:

When also Ridge walks into the office curious what’s all this about Thorne asks all of them to leave except Bill and not continuing the talk about the job offer right now (he will tell Bill about Caro being raped).

Back in their office Steph and Eric wonder about Bill’s attitude and his concern about Caro who he obviously can’t get in touch with. Eric still is enraged about Bill’s secrecy about the job offer to Thorne, and Steph is defending Thorne telling Eric that he’s just a romantic following his heart – being very much alike Eric. Eric then blames himself for having failed when raising Thorne and Steph unsuccessfully tries to comfort him about it.

Episode 106:

Steph asks Ridge if the woman who he was dating last night at least was worth it hitting the tabloids again. She reprimands him about his constant merry-go-round and finally gives him another lecture about safe sex and the danger of AIDS. She also tells him to think about the effects these headlines will make on Caro but he stubbornly tells her that he wants to enjoy his life since Caro has pushed him out of her life. Nevertheless he confessed his undying love for Caro, but when Steph again tries to warn him about Thorne he tells her she overestimates Thorne’s and Caro’s relationship.

Ridge then asks Steph to find out what’s going on with Caro since neither Spencer nor Thorne will tell him about it.

Episode 108:

Steph finds a frustrated Ridge being home early – when being asked for the reason he tells her that he has found out that Caro’s old phone number was cancelled. But since he has found her new number on Thorne’s desk he had called her but she refused to meet him the next days. Steph blames it on the playboy image he has created with his recent life-style and Ridge finally starts taking Caro’s relationship to Thorne more seriously. Then he acts like a spoiled 3-year-old again, calling another woman for a date tonight, “celebrating his freedom”. But Steph tells him she’s not falling for the act he’s putting on.

Episode 109:

Steph enters Thorne’s office where Eric just had a talk with Brooke, asking her about Beth and now being deep in thought. He tells Steph he can’t come to an interview appointment with her, telling her that suddenly something else has come up. Steph senses that something is wrong but when she asks him about it, he denies having troubles and accuses her of blowing things out of proportion again.

(Note: he’s just heard from Brooke that Beth is still at work and has decided spontaneously to pay her a visit... against her wish a few weeks ago not to meet again.)

Episode 110:

Steph, deep in thought, remains in Thorne’s office, and when Ridge asks her about her mood she tells him that she’s convinced about Eric having an affair again. Ridge tells her that they just both need some alternative and he invites her to accompany him to his favourite bars.

When being in the first bar the talk turns to the topic Caro again and Ridge tells her that he is worried about Caro, although he doesn’t have a certain reason for this. Then Ridge tells her that they both are only paranoid with their fears and for a while they’re quipping about some things, but finally Steph asks him to bring her home.

(Note: meanwhile Eric is seeing Beth and telling her that he never had planned to marry Steph at all, he only didn’t want to leave her during her pregnancy. But he had been too ashamed to tell Beth about having made Steph pregnant at first, and when he finally had plucked up courage he had learned that she had married Stephen Logan, who had had a crush on Beth for years. And that was the reason why he finally agreed to a marriage with Steph in the first place..... Could someone pass me a bucket, please? Such a slime ball!)

Episode 112:

Steph is deep in thought when Ridge returns home again, and when Steph tells him he’s early he answers that “one can over do”... Then he asks if Steph has already tried to find out what’s the matter with Caro and confirms that he just has a strange feeling that something is wrong with Caro. Steph promises Ridge to pay Bill Spencer a visit tonight and ask him. Then Ridge asks Steph about Eric and she tells him that she hasn’t seen him all day ling but suspects Eric having an affair.

When Eric arrives at home he is deep in thought, and when Steph tells him that she’s feeling a sudden distance between them he is annoyed and tells her that he’s only tired after a busy day at the office. Steph tries to calm the situation telling him that she doesn’t want to create tensions between them. She tries to lighten his mood by telling him about her afternoon with Ridge at the bar. Since he doesn’t show the slightest interest she tells him she has an appointment and will be back later for dinner.

When arriving at Bill’s apartment, he first assumes that Steph wants to talk about Thorne again, but Steph denies that and tells him that she’s interested in Caro’s well being since she hasn’t heard from her for some time. Bill is suspicious about Steph’s sudden interest in Caro but Steph tells him that this doesn’t come out of the blue. Bill excuses Caro with only being busy and when Steph asks if Caro is alright, Bill tells her that she’s fine.

Epi 125:

Steph arrives at home calling for Ridge when she notices blood on the floor. When Eric arrives at home from a dinner appointment Steph shows him Ridge’s blood-soaked shirt. Eric calms her down by telling her that Ridge has cut his hand after he has learned about Caroline being raped. He also tells her he thinks that Ridge wanted to visit Caroline that evening and therefore isn’t at home yet.

Epi 126:

Ridge and Thorne arrive back home from the doctor and Eric and Steph ask them to talk about the events of that evening. Steph questions Ridge what happened to his hand and finally Ridge tells them that he just accidentally has destroyed a showcase at FC. Although his parents aren’t satisfied with his answer Ridge and Thorne go to bed. Steph follows Ridge to his bedroom and tells him that she knows what this is all about. Ridge tells her about him being shocked about learning about Caroline’s rape and being worried about her. He also tells her that when arriving at the Logan’s house he witnessed Caroline and Thorne kissing. First he wanted to enter the house and tell Caroline that he still loves her, but finally realised that Thorne can be a much better help to her for the moment. And for her very best he decided not to interfere, although he still doesn’t know about the future. But which path it will take – his only concern is Caroline’s well-being.

Epi 128:

Thorne questions Steph about Ridge’s injuries since he still is clueless about the true reasons. Steph tells him that she has promised Ridge not to tell anyone, but Thorne figures out everything all by himself and mentions the blood on the Logan’s veranda. Thorne isn’t sure whether or not Ridge will accept Caroline’s decision for him.

In Ridge’s office Steph pays him a visit and Ridge asks her whether Thorne has figured out everything and how he has reacted to it – Steph refuses to play judge between the two of them. She invites him for lunch but he tells her he has an appointment with Rocco.

Epi 132:

Another talk between Steph and Ridge about Caroline’s rape and Ridge’s bad conscience and feeling of helplessness for not being able to have her prevented from it. Ridge confesses that his only thought is Caroline but he doesn’t want to confuse her feelings, now that she’s with Thorne – and now with the trial laying ahead.

Epi 135:

Steph questions Ridge’s bad mood, and since he behaves like a stubborn three-year-old Steph teases him a little, before she tells him that the most important thing is to close ranks as a family again. She can’t force him to love his brother but he has to accept him being with Caroline as well as him working for the company. Later on the subject changes to Kristen and now even Ridge agrees with Steph’s point of view that Kristen obviously has troubles with men. They both agree that the main problem is the deep love for her father. Steph confesses that it had deeply hurt her that Kristen has tried to compete with Steph for Eric’s love and partly blames her for the troubles in her marriage. Steph suggests finding a man for Kristen but for now Ridge isn’t convinced about this idea.

Epi 137:

Steph watches Kristen greeting her father very emotionally in the morning and inviting him to join her for breakfast. Eric receives a phone call with good news – for some fashion prize FC has gotten 5 nominations, one of them for a gown Kristen has designed. Kristen is very happy about and when she notices Steph watching them she gets up and embraces her father, asking him whether they all will attend the ceremony. He tells her that all members of the Forrester family will go there and that Kristen will be placed right by his side.

When Kristen has gone again upstairs Steph comes down and joins Eric, asking about the phone-call. Eric tells her about the nominations and Kristens success and Steph tells him not to forget about Margo’s share in this since she has taught Kristen. Eric reprimands Steph for not showing enough joy about Kristen’s success. Steph tells him that Kristen tries to manipulate him but Eric blames only Steph for not showing enough understanding for Kristen and her way of living and calls her feeling of jealousy stupid and nonsense. Then he tells her that for him that kind of conversation is useless and leaves, without showing any reaction to Steph’s remark about the members of the family being estranged from one another more and more.

When Kristen comes down Steph stops her to for a talk about her relationship with Eric. Steph tells her that Kristen still uses the same strategies to schmooze her father and asks her to find a man of her own. Kristen unsuccessfully tries to slap Steph, telling her that these are just nasty assumptions, but Steph tells her that quite on the contrary it was nasty what Kristen had done to Steph the past years. Kristen hurts Steph deeply by telling her that it’s her own fault since Eric gets more love and affection from his daughter than from his wife.

A brief phone-call between Clarke and Steph, he tells her that the game has started.

Epi 138:

Steph confirms an appointment, telling that she doesn’t want to be seen and therefore will use the back-door.

When she is about to leave Clarke pays her a visit, calling her on their agreement and wanting to show her his designs. Steph tells him that she has to leave for an appointment but Clarke recalls some meetings with Steph on several occasions (fashion shows etc.) before, telling her how deeply impressed he always was and still is by her. Then they quarrel a little about the conditions of their agreement, him to court Kristen. Clarke wants to learn a bit more about Kristen and after Steph has told him a little Clarke is even more curious why Kristen can’t find a man on her own. Steph confides in Clarke that Kristen has some “troubles” relating to men and Clarke is even more interested in playing “Mr. Right”.

Then Steph is in hurry to get to her appointment in time, thinking aloud that Eric must never learn about her secret since he wouldn’t be able to cope with it.

Epi 141:

Brooke tells Ridge that she doesn’t believe in him and Caro any longer since she knows about her deep feelings for Thorne. Then she wants to know if he can picture himself with another woman in the near future, but before he can answer her question Steph enters his office and Brooke leaves. Steph asks him what this is all about and Ridge tells her that they only talked about Caroline since they’re best friends. Ridge tells her that Brooke told him to let go of his hopes for being reunited with Caroline. Steph suspects Brooke having certain intentions and since Ridge isn’t convinced she recalls the way they got to know the Logan family, one family member after the other. Steph tells him that Brooke even meets with Eric every now and then but tells him that she no longer suspects them having an affair. But she is sure about Eric seeing someone. Ridge tells Steph about the Logan family and Steph is very much surprised to hear that there doesn’t exist a Mr. Logan any longer. She recalls the day she visited Caroline at the Logan’s and remembers Mrs. Logan telling her about the family without mentioning that “minor detail”, but she can’t figure out the reason for her keeping quiet about.

Epi 143:

Steph waits in Thorne’s office to question him about the Logan family and how they have connected with the Forrester family since the first dinner-party Mrs. Logan had arranged for the Forresters. Thorne tells Steph about the kids and admires Mrs. Logan for raising them almost single-handedly after their father had disappeared. Then Steph asks about Brooke and Thorne tells her that she has finished her degree as a chemist with best marks although she had to work besides her entire college years. Steph also asks whether or not there’s a man in Brooke’s life and is stunned to hear that Brooke is engaged. Nevertheless Steph senses that there is something wrong about the Logans and how they have bonded with her family. Steph offers Thorne a bet that Brooke, who seems to be very ambitious, will try to hook up with Ridge.

Epi 145:

Steph is looking for Kristen but only meets Margo who doesn’t seem to be too pleased about. Margo tries to hurt Steph by telling her that Kristen is out for an interview and wondering why Eric, who has known about, hasn’t told her. Then Margo goes on about her intimate friendship with Kristen and that they will meet at the Cafe Russe.

After Margo has left Steph calls Clarke telling him to “accidentally” meet Kristen at the Cafe Russe.

Epi 146:

Clarke pays Steph a visit to give her a report about his relationship with Kristen. Clarke tells her that his attempts with her were rather unsuccessful, something he never has experienced before – and he claims to be very experienced on that matter. Clarke finally asks Steph if by any chance she has forgotten to tell him that Kristen is more interested in women but in men – Steph isn’t too pleased with that kind of “insult” and shows him the door but Clarke manages to calm her down and flirt a little with Steph at the same time. Steph is worried about Kristen getting hurt by Clarke but he promises her to be sensitive, he only asks for a chance to present his designs to Eric. Steph tells him she only wants to hear from him again when he can tell her about having been successful.

In Eric office Steph brings him up to date that Brooke again had lunch with Ridge at his office and tries to make him understand her suspects. But of course Eric doesn’t share her point of view and defends Beth Logan when Steph tells him that she suspects her being all too pleased with the Brooke-Ridge-relationship. Then Eric changes the subject, telling Steph about a new admirer for Kristen (Margo has told him about the Cafe Ruse meeting). When Steph doubts that this will lead to Kristen dating this man since she still prefers her father’s company Eric tells her that he is fed up with that kind of remarks from Steph.

Epi 147:

Steph catches Ridge pouring himself a large drink and tells him that she knows about his feelings about Caroline and the trial, knows that he feels helpless and therefore tries to easy his pain with alcohol. Then they talk about the trial, the fact that the rapist has a female defender and how this might influence the judgement. Steph asks Ridge why he hasn’t talked with Caroline about his feelings for her but doesn’t get a satisfying answer.

Later Thorne brings Caroline with him and Steph is very happy to meet her again, but unfortunately Ridge has already gone out. After a brief talk about the first day of the trial Steph invites Caro for dinner. When Steph leaves to tell Maria about, Caro voices how happy she is to be here again and Thorne tells her that she already is a part of the Forrester family.

Ridge comes downstairs and bids Stephanie good morning…

Ridge: Good morning, I’m late.

Steph: Yes, your brother’s late as well.

Ridge: When did he come home?

Steph: Yesterday but a lot earlier than you.

Ridge: That’s no surprise.

Steph: Where have you been?

Ridge: You should rather ask me where I wasn’t.

Steph: A little trip through the bars, I guess?

Ridge: It was overdue!

Steph: And I had hoped that phase of yours is over!

Ridge: You were mistaken.

Steph: Women?

Ridge: No, just alcohol.

Steph: Did it help?

Ridge: Mh, no.

Steph: Will you tell me what happened?

Ridge: No.

Steph: Then I’ll tell you. You went to the Logans. You only wanted to pay Caroline a visit. But when you arrived they told you she went out and they told you that she left with your brother.

Ridge: Now how do you know that?

Steph: I only counted two and two together.

Ridge: There’s more behind that!

Steph: Caroline and Thorne were here last night. She eagerly wanted to come here. Allegedly she wanted to talk to me…

Ridge: Allegedly?

Steph: I think it is absolutely possible that she wanted to talk to you!

Ridge: Why should Caroline want to see me, Mother? She just likes you. She didn’t want anything from me…

Steph: What’s wrong with you, Ridge? That makes no sense.

Ridge: Why?

Steph: Because she had to know you could be here! She knew it!

Ridge: What are you saying, Mother?

Steph: Oh Ridge! Don’t you want to understand me or what is going on with you?

[Entrance Thorne in the background]

Ridge: You really think…?

Thorne: What is she really thinking?

Steph: Good morning, Honey.

Thorne: Good morning, Ridge!

Ridge: Thorne.

Thorne: You were late last night. Much work at the office?

Ridge: There were other reasons.

Thorne: Caroline was here last night. But I guess Mother already told you you missed us!

Ridge: Yes, she did mention it.

Thorne: The first day of the trial was hard. She doesn’t feel very well.

Steph: I heard the man is represented by a very capable female attorney.

Ridge: That is unbelievable, don’t you think so? That criminal did really find a woman who believes his fairy tale! I can’t understand that!

Steph: That only show how nice and trustworthy this man appears to women. Caroline had never gotten involved with him the other way! And she never had allowed him to bring her home!

Ridge: I just hope for her sake no one will buy his story!

Steph: That possibility exists. It has already happened before.

Ridge: Do you know when this Ron Deacon will appear as witness?

Thorne: Today. But not immediately. First another witness will make a statement for Caroline. Her attorney says she’s very important.

Steph: She?

Thorne: Brooke Logan. He thinks a lot depends on her and her statement.

Steph: So the trial will end today?

Thorne: It looks like that.

Steph: Good. That means this nightmare will finally end. We can only hope she’ll get over everything quite soon!

Ridge: You said she was here yesterday. Did she tell you what she wants to do after the trial?

Steph: No, she didn’t. I think it would be the best for her if she goes somewhere else for some time where she can get some distance to this whole thing. But it’s also possible that she wants to go back into her marketing agency to bury herself into work.

Ridge: That’s eventually what she will do!

Thorne: There’s something else…

Steph: What are you talking about?

Thorne: Yesterday I told her that after the trial I’ll ask her to marry me.

[Exit Thorne]

Steph: Nice from him to let us know…

Ridge: I’ll go now.

Steph: Wait! Where will you go?

Ridge: Into the office. Where else?

Steph: Don’t be upset about what he told you!

Ridge: Should I pretend as if I didn’t hear what he said?

Steph: But that doesn’t mean it has to be over between Caroline and you!

Ridge: He’ll ask her to marry him!

Steph: That doesn’t mean she’ll actually do it! Listen, if she loses this trial what hopefully won’t happen she’ll the last one who will rush into a marriage! No matter who asks her!

[Entrance Stephanie]

Steph: How did it go?

Clarke: One of my easiest tasks!

Steph: Oh, don’t overdo it!

[They toast.]

Clarke: Your daughter is enchanting!

Steph (coughs): I knew you would like her!

Clarke: Nevertheless I would like to know where this should lead!

Steph: Just try to befriend her. [To the bartender] A vodka martini, please!

[Stephanie puts the other drink aside]

Bartender: Yes, Ma’am.

Clarke: And how far should this friendship go?

Steph: I think you should take it step by step.

Clarke: Well, the next step is dinner.

Steph: She let you invite her for dinner?

Clarke: You didn’t think it would go that fast, did you? Some women out there find me attractive!

Bartender: Your vodka martini.

Steph: Thank you.

Bartender: Welcome.

Steph (clears her throat): When and where?

Clarke: I’ll call you then…

Steph: Ah, I see… she hasn’t accepted so far.

Clarke: She will accept! As soon as I ask her!

Steph: And what are you waiting for?

Clarke: To be honest I don’t feel very easy with the situation…

Steph: Oh… do I notice some scruples?

Clarke: Isn’t a man like me allowed to have them?

Steph: I think you just behave as if I had asked to tell some state secrets to the Russians!

Clarke: Your daughter could fall in love with me…

Steph: You’ve warned me…

Clarke: You don’t believe me?!

Steph: Oh, don’t be so touchy. I wouldn’t try to bring you and Kristen together if I wouldn’t know you could like each other.

Clarke: So why are you so surprised that your daughter would have accepted my dinner invitation?

Steph: Because I know her. That has nothing to do with you.

Clarke: And what is the reason?

Steph: I’ve already told you she doesn’t want to have anything to do with men.

Clarke: I know what kind of problem your little daughter has. She’s constantly surrounded by some idiots who pretend to be men but under the bottom line they are simply ridiculous.

Steph: Ah…

Clarke: I’m unique, Mrs. Forrester. I have some experience with women. And I know very well what women like. So far I’ve always been successful… and Iäm sure it won’t be any different with Kristen. Cheerio!

Steph: Where do you want to go?

[Clarke gets up]

Clarke: I have to make a dinner reservation because I have a date today!

Ridge: Mother? Did you hear anything about the trial?

Steph: No. And you?

Ridge: Me neither.

Steph: We can only hope it all went well!

Ridge: Yes… By the way. I just was with Kristen. It looks like your dream will come true soon!

Steph: What wish?

Ridge: I think there’s a man on the horizon for her! She pretends that she isn’t interested but I’m sure he’s just her cup of tea!

Steph: Did she tell you about him by herself?

Ridge: Sure.

Steph: Do we know him?

Ridge: No, he’s a model or something like that. His name is Clarke.

Steph: Mh… so you think she could like him?

Ridge: She doesn’t admit it but I know it.

Steph: Mh… and how?

Ridge: It’s in her eyes. I’ve seen her like that before!

Steph: If you think so.

Ridge: I’ll take a closer look at him anyway.

Steph: What?

Ridge: I just want to sure everything is okay with him…

Steph: I think your sister would notice it herself if something is not alright with him!

Ridge: I’m not so sure about that.

Steph: She’s an adult! And she won’t like what you’re going to do! Do you think she’ll like it when you spy him?

Ridge: Don’t worry, I’ll be careful!

Steph: I would rather ask you not to do that!

Ridge: But you’re the one who wants her to get to know a man!

Steph: Don’t you think that would be good for her?

Ridge: Of course, if he is the right one!

Steph: Listen, if he is not the right man he won’t survive their first dinner date!

Ridge: Except she’s really fallen for a man this time! Kristen has never been in love so far. She’ll be very vulnerable because of that.

Steph: Kristen and vulnerable?

Ridge: Because she doesn’t let on anything! I’ve been waiting for someone who is interested in her for a long time. But as inexperienced as she is her intelligence won’t help her. Episode # 156

[Clarke coming downstairs]

Steph: Clarke?

Clarke: Oh, hello, my dear!

Steph: What are you doing here downstairs?

Clarke: What question is that? You know the reason, don’t you?

Steph: Does that mean you finally intend to take Kristen out for dinner?

Clarke: Finally? Such an invention demands a certain kind of preparation!

Steph: One call and one question!

Clarke: You should know it better. Your daughter is expecting a bit more finesse.

Steph: Mh… allow me one question then.

Clarke: Ask.

Steph: You know Kristin’s office is upstairs. What are you doing here – downstairs?

Clarke: I delivered something. It’s in the safety room.

Steph: What?

Clarke: My joker. And now excuse me please…

Steph: Just a moment, Clarke! Come here, come here… it’s not very wise being here at Forrester and roaming the place!

Clarke: And why not? With your help I’ll work here some day! That’s settled!

Steph: I don’t want you to bump into my son Ridge! He could ask you questions!

Clarke: About what?

Steph: About your intentions concerning Kristen.

Clarke: Oh no… I don’t want to risk that!

Steph: Fine! Then don’t walk around in this building as if you would be one of the bosses! Keep me informed!

[Steph leaves.]

Clarke: I really got myself into something!

[Steph and Ridge enter his office]

Steph: So the court decision is determined?

Ridge: Eventually she’s in court right now!

Steph: Oh god! She must be a nervous wreck!

Ridge: Yes, she’s been pretty scared of the decision!

Steph: How can you know that?

Ridge: She was here when Thorne delivered the news!

Steph: Here with you?!

Ridge: Yes, she came to thank me for my statement.

Steph [smiles happily]: And? How was it to see her again after such a long time?

Ridge: Well, at first a bit strange…

Steph: What did you talk about?

Ridge: It wasn’t important what we talked about but what I felt.

Steph: And what did you feel?

Ridge: That I desire her as much as I did back then!

Steph: Did you tell her that?

Ridge: No, but I think she felt the same.

Steph: If I were I had taken my chance and would have declared my love for her.

Ridge: Yes, but the problem was I had no opportunity to do so. Thorne came in with the news that the sentence is about to be pronounced!

Steph: Oh… he knew she was here with you?

Ridge: Yes, it was strange…he would never have allowed her to visit me… not alone at least.

Steph: Why not? He has great trust in Caroline!

Ridge: Yes, but there’s something else… how could he knew the sentence is determined?

Steph: Isn’t it customary to inform Caroline at home?

Ridge: Yes, at the Logans but Thorne was here.

Steph: Oh… then one of the Logans did inform him!

Ridge: Yes… if they had only taken themselves more time with the sentence! The ice between Caroline and me had just about to break!

Steph: You think the two of you could have talked everything out?

Ridge: Maybe.. but when she heard about the sentenced my chance had passed.

Steph: Maybe you should take action!

Ridge: Maybe I will. I tell you something: it has never been so evident to me… never before… I love this woman. I’ve never loved a woman like this before!

Ridge: Regardless of Thorne?

Steph: Thorne? If he had told me the same you just did I would tell him the same!

Ridge: You would? Really?

Steph: Of course! This isn’t about rivalry or conflicts or any problems between the two of you! It’s only about your feelings. You have to express your feelings. And if you don’t do it you’ll never find your inner peace!

Ridge: I’m constantly thinking about the trial! [Now that’s a quick change of subject!]

Steph: What about it?

Ridge: If the guy is not convicted she’ll need someone to lean on!

Steph: You can give her that comfort like everybody else!

Ridge: But it’s on Thorne to build her up again – not me!

Steph: Do you want to give up?

Ridge: The last thing I want is to burden her with another emotional conflict! Even if he’s my little brother.

Steph: Timing is the most important thing in life. She took action and came here to visit you! You can’t let that opportunity pass because it is maybe your last one! Listen to me: I want you and Thorne to find your happiness and I honestly mean it! If you want Caroline and if you don’t do anything to get her back you’ll regret it for the rest of your life! Now it’s the right time! You have to tell her you still love her!

Episode 157

Kristen: Mother!

Steph: Yes, Kristen?

Kristen: Do you have a moment? I want to introduce you to a young man.

Steph: Good.

Kristen: Aha… [Steph exchanging a look with Clarke and approaching him.] Mother, this is Clarke Garrison. Clarke, my mother Stephanie Forrester!

Steph: What are you working on?

Ridge: Those are sketches by Kristen for our new summer collection.

Steph: Oh!

Ridge: They are very good… I want to see if it can work. Her designs and the new European fabrics Thorne likes so much.

Steph: Mh…

Ridge: Look, that really fits!

Steph: You’re very good in pretending!

Ridge: What?

Steph: I know you’re only thinking about Caroline and the court decision!

Ridge: Mother, I don’t even have time to think about it. Besides Caroline is in good hands!

[The telephone rings]

Steph: I take the call!.. Hello?

Thorne: Mother! I had hoped to talk to you.

Steph: Yes, Thorne?

Thorne: It’s over! Ron Deacon is guilty!

Steph: Thank god!

Thorne: He won’t even got out on bail and they immediately arrested him.

Steph: Caroline must be so relieved!

Thorne: She’s feeling very well!

Steph: Please tell her I’m happy for her!

Thorne: I will.

Steph Oh and Thorne… thanks for the call. [She hangs up]

Ridge: So he’ll be convicted.

Steph: Yes, thank god.

Ridge: So it’s over.

Steph: Hopefully. I really hope it for Caroline. I hope she’ll be able to forget about all this.

Ridge: Did Thorne tell you where he was?

Steph: No…

Ridge: Maybe with Caroline… I’m sure they’re celebrating somewhere. And for sure with her father.

Don’t you think you deserve another chance? Both of you should come clear about your feelings. I’m not taking anyone’s side here. I don’t want war between you two brothers but I think that deep in her heart Caroline loves you more than she loves Thorne. I know he had been there for her the whole time but it was because of the whole circumstances that you kept your distance. Ridge, you’re Carolines first love. Her heart has always belonged to you. Don’t just watch Thorne taking her away from you! You have the right to get her back!

Ridge: Believe me, Mother, I don’t intend to let her be with him – not ever.

Steph: You will to talk to her?

Ridge: I already have!

Steph: Did you see her?

Ridge: No.

Steph: You’ll visit her.

Ridge: No. Believe me, I know what I’m doing.

Steph: I hope so. If you don’t take action to get Caroline back she’ll stay with Thorne. He has plans. Plans you can’t ignore.

Episode 161

Eric: Will you do something special today?

Steph: I wanted to pay you a visit in the office this morning to have a look at the new fabrics you were talking about and later I have an appointment.

Kristen: On Wednesday afternoon you always have an appointment! Good morning, Dad.

Eric: Good morning, Kristen.

Kristen: Isn’t it true, Mother?

Steph: Who told you that?

Kristen: Margo.

Steph: Margo? Has she become a specialist about my schedule and informs you about it?

Kristen: She heard it from Maria.

Steph: Oh from Maria… she got her wrong.

Eric: That can happen with Maria.

Kristen: Not that I forget it… I won’t come home for supper. I have an appointment. With a man.

Eric: I thought so.

Kristen [to Steph]: You would have said it differently…

Eric: And who is the lucky guy?

Kristen: Mother already knows him. His name is Clarke Garrison. What do you think of him, Mother?

Steph: I think he’s very attractive but of course no one can say if he’s right one for a relationship.

[Kristen gets up]

Kristen: Bye Dad.

Eric: Why can’t you let it go? After all you wanted her to date! You know it wasn’t easy for her to make contacts. We should at least try to help her!

Ridge: Good morning… seems the two of you both got up on the wrong foot!… What’s going on?

Eric: We just had a small discussion.

Ridge: Looks rather serious for a normal discussion.

Eric: It was just about the way your mother is daunting Kristen.

Steph: I can assure you it’s absolutely reciprocal!

Eric: I don’t know what you’re talking about!

Steph: Let’s say it won’t take long until we’ll see if I was right about Kristen.

Eric: What do you mean?

Steph: I don’t want to talk about that now.

[She gets up]

Ridge: The lady is an enigma.

Steph: You seem to be in a very good mood today!

Ridge: Well, it could become an important day!

Eric: Something that involves the company? [Eric roses from his chair] I hope you haven’t talked to Bevelaqua in Milan!

Ridge: No Dad, what I’m talking about only involves my private life.

Steph: So it’s about Caroline!

Ridge: I think I can already tell you that until tonight everything will be settles between Caroline and me… and my little brother will be out in the cold!

Steph: What are you saying… everything will be settled between you and Caroline?

Ridge: You’ll see it, Mother!

Steph: But how can you be so sure?

Ridge: I wrote her!

Steph: You wrote her?

Ridge: I just had to do something! I immediately felt it when she came into my office yesterday. It was so clear. There’s still something between us!

Steph: But she left with Thorne. And it was Thorne she celebrated her victory with!

Ridge: But then she didn’t know what I’m feeling for her. That’s why I wrote the letter to her.

Steph: A love letter.

Ridge: Yes, you might say so. I wrote her that I made a reservation for a table in the club for us. Only for the two of us.

Steph: Don’t you think you demand a little too much from her?

Ridge: Mother, I know her feelings for me. After she read what I wrote her and how much I love her nothing will ever separate us again!

Steph: But what if the letter doesn’t reach her in time? When did you send it?

Ridge: I didn’t send it. Yesterday I met Brooke’s younger sister in the company and gave her the letter.

Steph: Oh… you’re really a trusting person! I mean how can you know she really gave the letter to Caroline?

Ridge: She promised it!

Steph: Well, I don’t know… when I think about what could happen so that the letter will never reach her…

[Ridge dialling a telephone number]

Katie: I take it! Hello?

Ridge: This is Ridge Forrester!

Katie: Hi this is Katie. We met yesterday!

Ridge: Yes, I know. That’s why I’m calling. I just wanted to check if Caroline got my letter.

Katie: Of course, Mr. Forrester. I put it on her pillow yesterday evening. I’m sure she found it when she got home!

Ridge: Wonderful! You’re a real sweetheart, Katie. Thank you so much!

Katie: You’re welcome. Bye.

[Ridge hangs up]

Ridge: She got the letter. All that is left for me to do is waiting… till 6 pm. That’ll be the longest day of my life!

Epi 162:

Steph overhears Ridge planning his special dinner with Caroline on the phone. After he’s finished she tells him not to expect too much from this evening, but Ridge is pretty sure that Caroline will show up and everything will be fine soon. Steph expresses her concern that – however Caroline will decide – one of her sons will get hurt in the process. Ridge assures Steph that Caroline and he are meant for each other and that Thorne will overcome the disappointment. Finally Steph wishes him good luck when he leaves.

Epi 163:

Steph admires Eric’s latest designs and then tells him that Ridge and Caroline have a date this evening. Eric (clueless as usual) can’t understand Ridge’s actions since he hasn’t noticed Ridge still being in love with Caroline. Then he reprimands Steph that she didn’t prevent Ridge from writing a love-letter to Caroline. Eric doesn’t believe in a reunion and tells her that Caro and Thorne are a couple now and that she shouldn’t underestimate Thorne’s feelings for her. Steph explains to Eric that Caro has much deeper feelings for Ridge and that her feelings for Thorne are more like a friendship.

That moment they’re interrupted by Thorne and Caro who tell them about their engagement. Steph is stunned but Eric is overwhelmed with joy. Caro explains to Steph that Thorne means a lot to her since he had been by her side whenever she needed him, and finally Steph embraces her and congratulates. Then they decide to have a rather small wedding at the Forrester home. Steph offers to tell Ridge about.

When Thorne and Caro have left Eric asks Steph where she’ll go and she tells him that he obviously has forgotten that Ridge expects Caro that evening.

At the club Steph has to tell Ridge that Caro and Thorne just have announced their engagement. Ridge invites Steph to join him for dinner and asks the musicians to play for him and Steph. But after a few seconds Ridge has to tell her that he isn’t in the mood for dancing and leaves.

Epi 164:

Steph is back at Eric’s office and she and Eric wonder why Caro hasn’t cancelled the dinner plans with Ridge – after all he had asked her in the letter to call only if she isn’t willing to accept his invitation. Eric tries to find a plausible explanation for her actions but Steph doesn’t buy into them. She senses that something is wrong. Eric asks her for her support for the Thorne-Caro-relationship and accepts the same from Ridge. He thinks Ridge will fall in love with someone else soon... and suddenly Brooke Logan comes to Steph’s mind, but Eric doesn’t react to it. Eric tells her that the wedding will take place within the next few days and is stunned to hear that Steph will take care of everything. Steph is offended by his thought of her not supporting Thorne, since he is their son too and Eric tries to calm her down. When Steph wants to call Mrs. Logan for the catering and Eric tells her that Mrs. Logan won’t come for the catering but the family will be invited as wedding guests Steph isn’t too pleased about. She again tells Eric that for her the Logans are only social climbers who use the Forresters to get what they want.

Epi 165:

Eric interrupts Steph’s thoughts by telling her that he’d like to celebrate the engagement tonight but Steph’s mind still is on Caro’s strange reaction – or non-reaction – about Ridge’s letter. Eric thinks that Caro is not interested in a relationship solely based on sexual attraction and recalls Ridge pestering Caro on that matter back then. He also doubts that Ridge has changed on that matter and now had deeper feelings for Caro besides physical attraction. Steph wonders whether Caro really has gotten the letter since it’s unusual for her to be that impolite not answering it.

At the Forrester mansion Thorne isn’t willing to talk about the obvious disagreement he has had with Ridge. Instead he tells his parents that the wedding will take place the day after tomorrow. Eric agrees on designing the wedding dress and Steph and Caro talk about the guest list, including the Logans. Caro also tells Steph that she wants Brooke to be her bridesmaid.

When Steph and Eric are alone after a little celebration he asks her if she will call the Logans tonight. Steph wants him to make the phone calls but he asks her to give them a chance. While Eric is already in the bedroom Steph calls Mrs. Logan and invites the family, much to Beth’s surprise.

Epi 167:

Steph is on the phone with the florist and Eric seems to be rather pleased with her, he even offers his help, especially in calling the Logan family again. Then Steph again brings up the letter but Eric firmly tells her that Caro’s non-reaction maybe is her way of telling him that it’s over between them. When Steph is alone and still thinking about that letter she suddenly is sure that Caro has never received it.

Then we see Brooke reading the letter when Steph calls her and asks to come by for a talk about the letter Caro has never received (Steph is bluffing about knowing that for sure).

Steph tells Brooke that she’s sure that Caro has never gotten the letter but Brooke plays the innocent. She only tells Steph that she knows that Katie has placed the letter on Caro’s pillow. When Brooke shows Steph Caro’s room she gets introduced to Katie and Steph repeats that Caro obviously never has received the letter. Suddenly Katie notices that the letter has fallen under the bed and blames herself for it. When Katie leaves for school Steph asks Brooke as Caro’s best friend to deliver the letter to her.

Epi 168:

Steph tells Ridge that Caro hasn’t received his letter since it had fallen under the bed. Steph tells Ridge about her visit with the Logans and also tells him about her suspecting Brooke to have manipulated the situation.

Steph is on the phone calling Brooke to come round with the letter since Thorne and Caro just arrived at home. Soon after them Eric comes home, too, with the wedding dress for Caro, who is thrilled about the beautiful dress. That moment Brooke arrives and Steph asks Eric to leave the two of them alone.

Epi 170:

Steph overlooks the preparations for the wedding when Ridge comes down and tells her, he will stay in the office and not attend the wedding. Steph again tells Ridge about her suspecting Brooke having held back the letter since she has a crush on Ridge. Ridge contradicts that Brooke can’t stand him and only despises him for having a playboy image, but Steph isn’t convinced. When she tells him to call Caro to get certainty whether or not she had read the letter he tells her maybe not being interested in that kind of “final word”.

Caro and Brooke arrive and Steph tells them to use the bedroom upstairs for changing, but Steph asks Brooke to come downstairs for a chat again before changing.

Eric compliments Steph for her effort in making it a beautiful wedding when Brooke comes downstairs and Steph questions her about the letter and Caro’s reaction to it. When Brooke asks for Ridge Steph tells her that he doesn’t plan to attend the wedding.

Margo and Bill arrive and are first greeted by Kristen and then by Steph and Eric. After Steph has asked Kristen to show Bill around she asks Margo about her relationship with Bill, not forgetting to throw some zingers.

Steph is looking for Caro who still hasn’t changed and is sitting alone in the bedroom. Caro tells Steph she has Brooke sent to do something for her and just wants to be alone to sort out her thoughts – she clearly shows how much Ridge’s letter has affected her.

Epi 171:

Eric just talks to Beth about having not seen each other for a while and wants to make an appointment with her soon when Steph interrupts them. Soon after Beth and Eric have left Ridge joins Steph and tells her that Caro still will marry Thorne. Then he tells Thorne that he’d like to be his best man and embraces him. Later Bill teases Ridge about being around and introduces him to Storm’s girl-friend... it’s the woman who has been caught in bed with Ridge by Bill Spencer’s investigator. Eric hands Ridge the wedding rings and the ceremony is about to start – Eric staring at Beth every now and then.

The usual ceremony and vows until “you may kiss the bride”.

Epi 172:

It again starts with the “you may kiss the bride”, followed by the usual congratulations. Steph unsuccessfully tries to comfort Ridge, meanwhile Beth tells Brooke to go after Ridge. They’re joined by Eric who calls Brooke and her mother “the two most attractive women around” [sidenote: blind, stupid or both?] and offers them to show them around. Brooke asks him to show the house only to her mother since she already knows the property.

Meanwhile Ridge congratulates Caro and asks for one dance with her later on, and then it’s time for Thorne and Caro to dance. Brooke uses the opportunity to chat up Ridge and plays the compassionate one, but for now Ridge doesn’t respond to it. Ridge vows revenge on Bill Spencer, Steph learns from Kristen that Eric shows Beth Logan around. While Caro dances with her father Ridge asks Margo for a dance and they recall the memories of their relationship – suddenly being interrupted by Bill Spencer. Caro uses the opportunity for a dance with Ridge.

Steph just joined Eric and Beth when Caro appears on the balcony, throwing her bouquet and wishing a beautiful wedding to the person who catches it – which happens to be Brooke. Then Caro and Thorne head for their honeymoon.

Epi 173:

Later the evening Steph and Eric talk about the wedding, especially about the relationship between Margo and Bill Spencer. When Eric wonders about the possibility of an upcoming wedding between them Steph tells him she doubts it since Margo still has a crush on Eric – who of course doesn’t believe her. Then Steph tells him she also noticed that Beth Logan obviously has a crush on Eric – he clearly doesn’t like the turn of the conversation and changes the topic to the happy newlyweds and brave Ridge being man of honour after Caro had asked him to do so. Steph informs Eric about being unhappy that Ridge has left the party with Brooke, but of course Eric doesn’t share her concern, he even is pleased about. Then Eric reprimands Steph about her negative attitude against the Logan family and defends them, starting the usual argument. Steph tells Eric she will remain in close contact with Beth Logan to learn more about the family.

Epi 174:

The next morning – Kristen tells Ridge about an appointment with Margo later on, then they talk about the wedding and Ridge trying to cope with the situation. Then Ridge tells Kristen about Steph’s plans to renovate Thorne’s rooms for the newlyweds to move in. Suddenly Kristen remembers her appointment with Clarke the past evening – and that she has forgotten to cancel it. Ridge isn’t too happy about her relationship with a mediocre designer.

Later Ridge voices the same concerns towards Steph who asks him not to interfere. Of course later on the subject changes to the wedding the other day and Ridge tells Steph that he will not forget about playing revenge on Bill Spencer. Steph warns Ridge about and suggests a ceasefire. Then she asks Ridge about his evening with Brooke Logan and warns him about her being an opportunist. Ridge doesn’t take her concerns too seriously – neither about Bill Spencer nor about Brooke.

Later a furious Clarke pays Steph a visit, complaining about Kristen having stood him up the past evening. Steph tries to calm him down by telling him about the wedding, which had come as a surprise for all of them, and asks him to make another appointment with her this evening. He agrees and then asks Steph how far he should take the relationship, if he should try to seduce her. Steph tells him to go as far as necessary, but doubts that he will be able to seduce Kristen since she suspects her being frigid.

Epi 177:

Steph is reading a postcard the newlyweds have sent when Ridge comes down, playing the disinterested. He only complains about the modifications disturbing him. Steph then questions him about his Christmas holiday plans and he tells her he’s already bought plane tickets for Switzerland. Steph guesses that Brooke will join him on the trip and repeats her suspicions about the family.
